The tour of the lodges is a classic cross country itinerary of medium difficulty, starting from the village of Civago.
The itinerary allows you to discover the beauty of an environment with high natural value, in the town of Villa Minozzo, meeting along the way 3 lodges, ideal for a tasty break.
Climbs and descents take place almost exclusively on forest roads and the few beautiful single tracks do not present significant difficulties; length and altitude make it a medium difficulty path, which can also be done led by authorized guides.
From the center of Civago, exit the village following the signs for Rifugio Battisti; in Case Cattalini the asphalt ends and the long forest road that leads to Lama Lite pass begins and, turning on the right, in a short time to Rifugio Battisti at the altitude of 1761 m.
Back to the pass, follow the forest road towards Civago and take on the left the CAI 631 path: beautiful and flowing.
Once you reach the Diacciarini Pass, leave the CAI 631 and go down on the road near a hairpin bend, go up for a few meters and take on the left a path that leads to the magnificent Abetina Reale wood; the first part of this stage has short ups and downs, then from a height of 1700 meters downhill on a single track. You will soon reach the Rifugio Segheria all'Abetina Reale.
After leaving the Rifugio Segheria, cross the bridge and start climbing again through the forest to the Forbici pass (1573m.). Continuing on the forest and crossing the regional border with Tuscany you get to the Passo del Giovarello from which you can admire a beautiful view of the Apuan Alps; from here you will start descending on a very uneven but passable road, up to the bivouac Le Maccherie, refreshment point.
About 100 meters before, on the left, starts the path CAI 601 that goes into the beech wood and proceeds without great difficulty to the old tracks of Civago; once reached, you will descend following the tracks on a bumpy trail, but easily passable up to the asphalt road in Casa dell'Abate. Go on along the asphalt road for 400 meters and then take a path on the right downhill, that becomes a dirt road that runs along the sports field and continues to the entrance to the path towards the bridge over the creek Dolo - attention to this section which presents some more technical passages. Crossing the bridge, you will find asphalt, reaching the center of Civago.
