From 7 to 28 September, the Val Tidone hills will host the Valtidone Wine Fest.
Wine, the protagonist of the hills of the last Emilian valley, nestled between Liguria, Lombardy and Piedmont, becomes a reason for meeting, celebration and joviality.
Within the Valtidone Wine Fest the many variations of this nectar that the grapes give are celebrated: red, white and rosé, sweet, dry, still and sparkling. Each offers various possibilities of pairing with dishes of the gastronomic tradition that makes Piacenza the province that opens the Food Valley.
The protagonists of the 2025 edition are Borgonovo, Ziano, Alta Val Tidone and Pianello.
In Borgonovo, the 'Ortrugo&Chisola' combination is offered: this sparkling white wine is accompanied by focaccia coi ciccioli, a product of municipal denomination.
Ziano, Europe's most "vine-growing" village in terms of density of vineyards, offers tastings of Malvasia.
Nibbiano will host "DiTerreDiCibiDiVini...DiOli", which focuses on the relationship between food and wine.
In Pianello, 25 wineries and 20 companies will present sparkling wine products.
